NOTICE! IN-PERSON WORSHIP HAS RESUMED
We are happy to announce that in-person worship has resumed. As long as the weather permits, we will gather in person to “Worship-On-The Green” (on the lawn behind the Mission House). If it is wet or below 63°F, we will move worship into the Sanctuary. Whether outside or indoors, social distancing will be maintained. Worship begins at 10:30 am. In order to give yourself enough time to get settled, we ask that you arrive 20 minutes earlier to get settled.
Please note that for outdoor services you are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs OR you may stay in your car - whatever makes you comfortable.
While we have returned to in-person worship, we will still be offering the option to worship with us from home via Zoom. Please email Pastor Susan for the Zoom link.
COVID SAFETY MEASURES FOR WORSHIP
Here are a few additional reminders in preparation for in-person worship gatherings at Brookdale:
Please bring a mask - masks will be required.
Physical distancing of at least six feet will be maintained both outside and indoors.
When indoors, windows and doors will be opened to provide ventilation.
Congregational singing will be limited outdoors and prohibited indoors. However, you are encouraged to continue worshipping with the hymns by humming, clapping, dancing, or in whatever way you feel moved. Lyrics will be printed in the bulletin so that you can continue to pray with the music and meditate on the words.
Restrooms are cleaned weekly. Each of us is responsible for cleaning up any soiling of the restrooms. Please sanitize touched surfaces (doorknobs and handles) before leaving.
Disinfectant and hand sanitizer will be available, but you are encouraged to bring your own supplies and take them with you after worship.
During worship, our time of "Passing the Peace" will remain "touch-free".
Remember: if you are not feeling well, please stay home.
We will continue to follow guidance from the State of New Jersey and the CDC regarding safety precautions and will make adjustments to our procedures as necessary.
Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to assist with setting-up, sanitizing, and/or cleaning up after worship. We truly appreciate your willingness to help. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
JOIN US FOR ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Adult Bible Study has resumed and is meeting before worship from 9:15-10:15 AM. If you are comfortable, please join us in-person in the fellowship hall, maintaining social distance and wearing a mask. If you are unable to join us in the fellowship hall, you may Zoom into the meeting. You will be able to hear and see what is going on in the study, and you will be able to contribute to the class, just like you are in the room.
For more information or to participate by Zoom, please email Pastor Susan.
ATTENTION LEADERS OF GROUPS USING THE
We are pleased to announce the that Fellowship Hall is once again available for use. Group meetings may now resume. However, due to continuing COVID-19 restrictions and concerns we ask your understanding and cooperation in the following ways:
1) Please plan to clean and sanitize the area and equipment you use before and after each meeting and bring the necessary supplies with you to do that.
2) Please understand that you are responsible for following state and federal regulations regarding "social distancing".
3) We have folded and moved many of the tables onto the platform. You are free to use as many of them as you like, but we ask that you sanitize and return any tables and chairs that you use to their storage location before leaving.
Please feel free to speak with your POC if you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, etc. ... If we all think about and look out for "the other", we can make this work! God bless!
The monthly Community Meal has been cancelled until further notice. We look forward to a time when we can resume this (or an alternative) ministry. We miss y'all!
